Fun Day of Homeschooling Socialization

March 3rd, 2008

Longmont Homeschool Group - Longmont Colorado’s eclectic, inclusive homeschool group.

Homeschoolers in Longmont had socialization issues on Friday. Too much socialization.  Well, can there ever really be too much socialization?  Nah!

It was a great day though. We gathered for a beautiful February park day. There were about 20 families with kids ranging in ages from toddlers to teens.  The kids played in the creek, dug in the sand and chatted contentedly.  The moms chased the toddlers and chatted contentedly. Life is good when you homeschool.

Then, later that evening, a gaggle of homeschooling moms gathered for dinner at a local restaurant. It was delightful.

Socialization is such a problem for homeschoolers. NOT!

Busy week of Longmont Homeschool Group events

February 26th, 2008

Longmont Homeschool Group - Longmont Colorado’s eclectic, inclusive homeschool group.

Longmont’s homeschoolers had a busy week. We enjoyed a Colorado 14ers basketball game. It was a close game, won by our team in double overtime. Our kids were so funny that they spent a ton of time up on the Jumbotron Tv. They were thrilled.

We also gathered for the Lunar eclipse viewing.  The night was cloudy, but still fun. The moon viewing was moderate, but the planets all came out to shine! The kids saw Saturn, Mars and Sirius the dog star (which of course, had our Harry Potter fans giddy!)

Join us this week for park day and mom’s night out.  Hope to see you there!
